There is nothing better on pork or pulled pork than our BBQ finishing sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 8 ounce package of Fortun’s Finishing Touch
  • BBQ (Picnic in a Pan) Sauce
  • 4 6-8 ounce, boneless Pork Loin Chops
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Place a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Season both sides of the pork loin chops with salt and black pepper. Once pan is hot, add olive oil, carefully place pork loin chops in pan and cook each side for about 3½ to 4 minutes or until the pork loin chops are well seared on both sides and have an internal temperature of 150° to 155°F for medium. Remove from the sauté pan and let the meat rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving to preserve the natural juices in meat.

Reserve the sauté pan for heating sauce.

Options for Heating the BBQ Sauce:

Place BBQ Sauce (Picnic in a Pan) in the sauté pan and place over medium-high heat. Heat for about 1 to 2 minutes to a simmer but do not allow the sauce to boil.

Microwave Oven: Place the BBQ Sauce (Picnic in a Pan) in microwavable dish. Heat on high setting for 30-45 seconds, stir and then heat an additional 30-45 seconds.

Boil in Bag: Place 8 ounce bag in boiling water for 1-2 minutes.

To Serve: Place sautéed pork loin chops on serving plates and spoon the BBQ Sauce (Picnic in a Pan) evenly over each pork loin chop. Serve immediately.

Chef suggested pairings:

Wine: Syrah, Merlot, Grenache or Pinot Noir
Sides: Sautéed spinach and roasted brown sugar and cinnamon butternut squash
